READ IN PUBLIC PLACES
You can’t judge a book by its cover
No, you can’t judge a book by its cover
You can’t judge a book by its cover
No, you can’t judge a book by its cover
But you can judge a boy by the cover of the book that he’s reading.
I keep a book in my pocket
Just in case someone sees
I read my book in public places
Just in case someone sees
And they might think
”That guy is good at reading,
I wonder if he’s got a girlfriend”
And they might think
”That guy is good at reading,
Well maybe I could be his girlfriend?”
Read in public places
Read in public places
Read in public places
It’s ever so attractive
I go out at the weekends
To all the places I like
Where I might meet likeminded people
Who like the the things that I like
And they will say
“Yadda, yadda, yadda,
I hold the very same opinion”
And they will say
“Yadda, yadda, yadda,
I really like that book you’re reading
And maybe they will be my true love
Read in public places
Read in public places
Read in public places
It’s ever so attractive
Read in public places
Read in public places
Read in public places
It’s ever so attractive
