PEOPLE I ONCE KNEW
I’m still haunted by the ghosts
Of the ones that meant the most
They creep into my thoughts
Long gone but not forgot
Trapped in amber in my brain
They all still look just the same
Skinny boys in baggy shirts
Frozen girls in miniskirts
Friends and lovers
High School dickheads
People I once knew
Long before you
On the whole I’m quite content
With my life and how it went
So, why do they call to me?
That strange menagerie
Oh, what happened to them all?
Do they think of me at all?
Perhaps we’ll meet again
Though I can’t think where or when
Friends and lovers
High School dickheads
People I once knew
Long before you
People I knew
People I once knew
People I knew
People I once knew
People I knew
People I once knew
